A friend of mine was told by his web designer that if he forwards too many of his Domains (more than 4) to his main website that it can effect his ranking in search engines.
Is this really true? I have about 7 or 8 domains forwarded to my main website…Can this hurt me?

I need some advice on the following scenario:
Person A contracts through Company A to do work for Company B. Person A signs a 1 year contract to work at $X dollars per hour for that period. Company B tells Company A it needs to reduce its billing from Company A by x percent. Company A then decides to tell Person A that due to this cost reduction measure, they are reducing the pay rate paid to Person A from $X dollars per hours to $X-Y dollars per hour. When person A says is this legal, we have a contract stating he/she gets paid $X dollars per hour, Company B says you have to accept the new rate or be let go and replaced by someone hired in at that new rate. The contract states that the only way it can be changed is by written agreement signed by both parties. Is this legal or should Person A pursue legal action to stop this? This takes place in the state of Pennsylvania.
Depending on the language in your employment contract it would not be worth legal action. You could go and speak to an attorney who could review the contract langauge and any cancellation provisions it may have in it. The one we use here states that they can cancel the contract with 30 days notice to the person.
By the time you hire an attorney and go through the motions of this you will be looking at a good year to 2 years down the road before you may get it to court. The company could now go and lay you off due to financial problems. Check your agreement to see if there is any provisions for layoffs, downsizing, or anything like that in it. If the company is having money problems then it could be that they will have the right to downsize or lay you off. If you try something legal then they will most likely lay you off or cancel your contract.

I’m looking for a way to search for a company name in the whois directory. I’d like to type in the name of the company and get a list of all the Domains owned by that company.
The answer above isn’t going to get you far, really. It only provides information like where the domain name’s registered, when it’ll expire, what’s the IP address of the nameserver, etc.
Short of using the big G or Yahoo, there’s no free resource looking up any and all domain names of a company.
