It depends- are you going to attribute the actors salaries per episode? or are you going to assume they are paid in advance and just focus on the other costs of the episode?
I would say if they are using the typical location (the actors travel from their own homes to the set, etc.) and there are no major special effects it’s probably anywhere from $40,000 and up per episode considering you have to pay for the location, the temporary staff, whatever wardrobe and home rentals, etc.
If it’s an episode with a different locale (depending) it’s probably upwards of $100,000 to accomodate all the actors and the rest of the cast.
I’ve heard of some special effects costing a pretty penny on tv shows-
If you wanted to think about the cost of paying the actors PER EPISODE with the costs of the show (and lets say its an ensemble cast) you could be talking about $800,000 and up per episode.
I heard ER is the most expensive show per episode on Tv at $13.1 million per episode- there are so many special effects and a great ensemble cast on that show-
*I can only imagine an episode of Friends (though not action/adventure) would be ridiculous if you put in the cast’s salary
